From above
Clouds cast shadows
On the ocean
that appears as textured Indian indigo cloth
With tiny mirrors.
From below
Clouds provide shade
From the sun
Whose warmth is muted but not thwarted
By ephemeral barriers.
At the level of the sea
Textures are revealed to be
Dynamic waves of salty water.
In the center of the solar system
Warmth is found to be
Galactic flames of infernal fire.
You see…
As we move from
Stratosphere to Earth
As we shift from
Earth to stratosphere
A change in reality
A change in perspective.
But between you and me….
Between the love we share and the love I imagine,
The reality
Is the same as
The fantasy.
